Sculptures
in Refractory Land

In 1995, I began a survey of more than 50 types of minerals and clays collected from different Brazilian states.

 

These materials were burned at various temperatures in several types of

ceramic kilns.

 

The result of this work are sculptures in Refractory Lands, which contains an array of textures and colors derived in

unexpected ways.

   

This work has since been exhibited in several solo and collectives Exhibitions  throughout Brazil and abroad, in the last 26 years.
