SPACE DELMA GODOY
In july of 2002, I made a trip to Ushuaia – El fin del Mundo – in Patagônia – Earth of Fire, where I lived deeply a great spirituality, perhaps for being connected to one cosmic solitude, superior to the wild and inhospitable environment, where my conception as plastic artist, defined news routes in the research of new languages.
When I came back, I inaugurated the DELMA GODOY SPACE, with my atelier, with the determination to display periodically, the resultant expositions of these new research.
I initiade with the exposition – “SILENCE OF THE COLORS” (2002) –Painting in acrylic on screen, where I worked with the diffusion of the inks on the fabric, creating superpositions, textures and imaginary landscapes.
In March/Aphril of 2003, I made the French Way of Santiago de Compostella, where I walked 750 km, trought a romanic, gotic and medieval Spain.
In this trip, the physical connection spirit it impregnated definitively my news works, resulting in the exposition – “SCREENS OF SANTIAGO” – (2004) and “OF ALL MY HEART…” (2005), where
I iniciated a figurative work, for the first time in my carrer, with stamps, poetries, symbols and a new gestual derivative maily of my experience as sculptor.
In 2006 – in the exposition “IMPROPER APPROPRIATE” – sculpturs I congregated residuals fragments, of my resin atelier, making a antrophofagic reflection, where the act of the creation, leaves a forever marks in the gestual and allows that the look, not only remains into dreams, but it results personal and intransfer.
In 2007 – the exposition “A CUP UNTIL HERE…”, mixing technique on wood, I placed questions determined for the most types of interior limits, that in suffocate them, imprisons, they establish mannering standards, and they mainly reflect our convention inside a chaotic society.
My playful side, it remains in all the new works, aliens to the organicity, transparency, research and mainly to the primordial comment.
